Wolf Garten tools

As a professional gardener for the past twenty years, I’ve relied on, and even enjoyed using my Wolf Garten tools. No, that’s not a spelling error. It is Wolf Garten with an “T” despite what auto correct thinks every time I type it. I feel like Wolf Garten tools aren’t well known, so I wanted to talk about them. Wolf Garten tools are German engineered (I’m told that is a good thing), and they are durable, strong, convenient, interchangeable and efficient. I just learned, while writing this post, that garten is garden in German.

Interchangeable Tool Heads and Handles

Wolf Garten tools are great. They use what they call, a multi star system, which allows gardeners to use a single handle with multiple tool attachments. The design is efficient and space saving.

How it works: Wolf Garten tools use a simple click and go system. The tool heads have a base that slides into the handle and locks in place. The handle has a little button that releases the tool head. It’s that simple. The same handle can be used for multiple tools, reducing the need for an overwhelming number of individual tools. Wolf Garten has all kinds of tool attachments. They have a trowel, weeder, hoe, brooms, saw, cultivator, leaf rake, grade rake, tiny rake etc. You can go down a Wolf Garten tool rabbit hole on Amazon.

Handles

  • Short handle: good for weeder, trowel and hand saw
  • Medium handle: This is a regular size handle good for the rake, hoe, brooms, and cultivator
  • Telescoping handle: This handle has an adjustable height great for reaching high tree branches with the saw attachment. I’ve also used it to hang Christmas lights, and tie up columnar junipers with twine. It can be used with the push broom attachment to clean off pool covers.

Versatile

I really love Wolf Garten tools for their versatility. I especially love the saw attachment, because it is super sharp, and makes cutting through tree branches easy. I can use it with the small handle for easy to reach limbs, or I can attach it to my telescoping handle for taller tree limbs. This is convenient, because who wants to break out the ladder? They also make a 4 in 1 leaf rake. It is a rake head that has three different sections of tines, that click together for different widths. The two outer sections have handles that can be used to pickup leaves or other plant material, and then placed in a garden bag. Anyway, again, there are so many attachments it’s kinda crazy.

Great Gardening Tools

If you’re a seasoned gardener or a new gardener looking to start a tool collection I recommend Wolf Garten tools. They are space saving, convenient and durable tools that will last for a long time. As you may see from my pictures, I have had my Wolf Garten tools for years and they are well worn. That’s it. I just wanted to share my love for these tools, and maybe shine a light on a more obscure brand.
